Leave it to Joey Versaw to come up with the wildest ideas. Like a veteran mixologist finessing the recipe for a new cocktail, Versaw mixes equal parts of monsters, nurse fetish fashions, victory rolls, and glamorous evening looks to create his latest and totally sensational iteration of Miss Mary and her pal Monday.

Titled "Abduction" the collection channels vintage sci-fi B-movie themes and portrays the dynamic duo as most seductive aliens who work by day and go glam by night.

During daytime, Miss Mary and Monday wear ultra sensational rubber strapless sheaths, nurse caps and sleevelets with contrasting stiletto pumps.

For nighttime, the pair add mesh Lycra, vintage flocked tulle, and paint-spattered blouses, skirts, and balloon gloves with hand applied orange-red rhinestones to transform into ultra posh goddesses with a slew of mix-and-match options. And of course, each look has a different face-plate, hand painted with utmost precision by Versaw.  

Limited to editions of 20 resin dolls each, Miss Mary in alien green skin and Monday in GOETIA violet come in beautifully illustrated boxes by DiPietro Martinelli Pascal.

The Three Faces of Mary

It's officially summer for Joey Versaw's Mary Magpie doll debuts her trilogy of styles for 2017. Ranging from Superhero to vintage bridge tally card lovely, the Summer 2017 collection is bound to please Mary Magpie collectors as well as seduce those who have yet to fall under her spell.

Magnificently crafted by Mr. Versaw out of synthered nylon via 3-D printing, each Mary Magpie doll then undergoes a hand painting process that is artistic, detailed, exact, and above all, a pure expression of Mr. Versaw's drawing and painting style. Many collectors find it hard to believe that the dolls' face-ups are not executed using templates and air brushing. As such, the Mary Magpie doll marries advanced computer graphics and printing processes and the old age art of hand painting a doll's features.

Meant to evoke the style of vintage boudoir dolls from the 1920-30s, Mary exudes the attitude of a seasoned diva in her sparkly strapless jumpsuit and platinum tresses.

Joey Versaw's Mary Magpie, the very first 3-D printed fashion doll, invited Dolldom to her wig shop. Mary is known for always being perfectly groomed and for being the only fashion model in the world whose hair stays in place during photo sessions. For her wigs, like her, are 3-D printed too and hand painted by Mr. Versaw to complement the specific make-up palette of his dolls.


Dolldom was in awe of the displays. Marta Wigstand models a Waves wig in sunny blonde.


A Magpie wigstand wears a classic Bob in black.


This Bettie wig in Mr. Versaw's signature yellow blonde tempted Mary so much that she decided to model it.

Mary modeled the style in a deep dark chocolate...

But then there was blue! Indigo blue!

Flannery, the new 3D-printed fashion doll by Joey Versaw visited Dolldom and loved modeling human hair hard cap wigs by wig master Yatabazah.  Modeling a fabulous bubble dress by Marirose and pair of 3D-printed high heels, Flannery is the epitome of Paris style.
