Under the careful management of George González, the JAMIEshow Muses line features a handsome cast of coded-as-male, 1:6th scale, BJD characters made of beautifully matte resin and subtly hand painted countenances. 

Dolldom appreciates the attention to detail both anatomical as well as structural that allows for a doll unlike any other in that scale in the market. The fashions offered by the company focus lavishly on the fantasy of current trends, but, luckily, the sobriety of a well-cut black suit has occurred twice since the line's inception. It is in this style, refreshing with the absence of shirts and combined with complementary garments by The Confusion83 and Integrity Toy's Fashion Royalty, that Dolldom constructs this October entry. From suits to jackets to underwear, it's a tribute to the severity of the color of the night, for it is at nighttime and amongst the shadows, that the Muses by JAMIEShow express their willingness to engage in the emotional maelstrom of the ultimate human pursuit.

Choosing a Hat!

Mel Odom's Gene Marshall has been spotted on Fifth Avenue posing in what secret sources state is a 1950 Pierre Balmain design. 




The fashionable look features a new iteration of the famed Miss Marshall in a platinum white pulled-back curled chignon.


The ensemble is finished off with a spiffy boater hat...




...that along with Miss Marshall's very new face-up palette make up for an unforgettable look.


Fashion icon alright!

But wouldn't it be crime to limit a suit of this beauty to just one hat? After all, a classic nay blue suit is such an absolute fashion staple. Why wear it only once?

Dolldom's editors were elated when Miss Marshall agreed to pose for thier cameras modeling different hats to show off the versatility of her "It Happened on Fifth Avenue" suit. 


First off is a Peter Pan black velvet cap adorned with iridescent feathers. The Mike Basala design defines adorable.


For making an entrance that will make everyone forget all other entrances, Miss Marshall poses in a black satin platter hat borrowed from her timeless Lucky Stripe fashion.


Integrity Toy's-produced Cocoa Crisp was issued with a flowered bandeau that, according to Mr. Odom, makes Miss Marshall smile. It's offers an organic counterbalance to the architectural strength of the suit.


Tea Time at The Plaza's bandeau adds a good measure of authority to Miss Marshall's ensemble.


To close, a classic straw chinois by Richard's Originals gives the look a more relaxed feel and perhaps reveals that Miss Marshall is now enjoying the warmer climate of Hollywood. Sunglasses help the star go incognito everywhere!

Inimitable Ivy

Mel Odom's Gene Marshall inhabits a richly detailed world. Miss Marshall revolutionized the fashion doll market in the mid 1990s with her larger size, abundantly accessorized fashions created with immense attention to detail, furniture, jewelry, and hat sets, even a gazebo. But in all truth, Miss Marshall's world is unmatched by the diverse number of friends and associates that share her adventures. One of these OOAK personalities is Ivy Jordan. Miss Jordan first came into the scene in Mr. Odom's beautiful Gene Marshall, Girl Star published by Hyperion Press. In this entertaining tome filled with illustrations by Mr. Odom and jaw-dropping photos by Steven Mays, a captivating illustration by Mr. Odom appeared - Ivy Jordan. Since then, collectors and fans of the Monolithic Studios gang had been clamoring for her realization in doll form.

And while Gene was being produced by Integrity Toys, the dream became reality. From her introduction:
