Once Upon A Time...

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away...

Evoking time travel, this favorite phrase of those who live enchanted by fantasy inspires many a Dolldom entry. To the harmonious blending of past and present, a promise of absolute beauty - unadulterated, timeless, yet evolved - is born.

Les rêves d'un garçon's Soo captivated our eyes and hearts with her realistic and unique face. Looking like no other doll her size, Soo impresses with her mesmerizing gaze and slightly parted lips about to utter... Her secret stays with us.

What we will divulge is the origin of the couture she models. In line with the story land theme, Dolldom's editors loved the way Soo portrays the ultimate poupée mannequin - one who brings the past to the present and makes it look avant garde and  visionary. For these designs by Tonner Doll Company are nothing but. But then again, it takes a beauty like Soo to make us appreciate the past once again today.

Blanche Neige

From Le Théâtre de La Mode Collection, this white organdy dress, based on a design by Maggy Rouff,  is the epitome of snowy pureness. Some say the whole affair is very Prada in feel.

They Call Her Red

Another recreation from Le Théâtre de La Mode Collection by Tonner Doll, Rouge, based on a design by Grès, impacts with it's essence of life hue.

Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather

A Tyler Wentworth creation, Embassy Dinner's intoxicating brocaded column dress exemplifies taste and integrity in doll making.

Deep Freeze

A Regina Wentworth Collection exclusive, the expert draping of Martini Minx, creates an armor both diaphanous and protective. Gold bead necklace by Joy Jarred.

  3. What an exquisite and delicate face this doll has ... very very beautiful and I particularly like her in the TDLM white organdy dress ... almost origami-ish? Gorgeous pix as always Ernesto.

    1. Thank you, Doll-Scum! I too think the origami feel of the TDLM design suits Soo best. I fell in love with the face too.
