And the Award Goes to...

Wilde-Imagination's Patience goes to her first Academy Awards Ceremony...in her room! Wearing her elegant "Prom" dress, complete with a tiara and necklace of make-believe diamonds, faux-fur stole and gloves, Patience imagines herself presenting an award.

Before, she styles her bangs with a little water to resemble her idol. Can you guess who that icon of style is?

Patience gets Dolldom's award for unbridled rêverie.

Floribunda

Beautiful flowers form an abundant bouquet, specially selected, from among Rosina Haskell’s garden of fashion delights.

Rosina Haskell is an integral force in the creation of two of the UK’s most beloved doll collections: Anouk by Nav Sikand and Lilli Lalka 2 by Julian S. Kalinowski. The delightful designer’s fashions for both doll lines exemplify classic elegance and demonstrate a deep understanding and an expert application of the lexicon of vintage fashion.

Haskell loves Jackie Kennedy and the Oleg Cassini designs that she wore and considers the former First Lady a massive influence, as well as Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly. Lady Penelope, from the Gerry Anderson’s “Supermarionation” show Thunderbirds, also inspires Haskell design choices and confesses only watching the series to see what the ever-elegant blonde was wearing. A self-professed fan of Princess Diana and her style, Haskell feels that no one comes close to becoming the style icon that she was.

For this Dolldom entry, Haskell designs a tour de force wardrobe for Anouk and Lilli Lalka 2 and in so doing creates a fragrant tribute to vintage style.

They Came from Outer-Space

Leave it to Joey Versaw to come up with the wildest ideas. Like a veteran mixologist finessing the recipe for a new cocktail, Versaw mixes equal parts of monsters, nurse fetish fashions, victory rolls, and glamorous evening looks to create his latest and totally sensational iteration of Miss Mary and her pal Monday.

Titled "Abduction" the collection channels vintage sci-fi B-movie themes and portrays the dynamic duo as most seductive aliens who work by day and go glam by night.

During daytime, Miss Mary and Monday wear ultra sensational rubber strapless sheaths, nurse caps and sleevelets with contrasting stiletto pumps.

For nighttime, the pair add mesh Lycra, vintage flocked tulle, and paint-spattered blouses, skirts, and balloon gloves with hand applied orange-red rhinestones to transform into ultra posh goddesses with a slew of mix-and-match options. And of course, each look has a different face-plate, hand painted with utmost precision by Versaw.

Limited to editions of 20 resin dolls each, Miss Mary in alien green skin and Monday in GOETIA violet come in beautifully illustrated boxes by DiPietro Martinelli Pascal.

"Abduction" Miss Mary and Monday are bound to be sought-after models, just like the two preceding collections. Make sure that you visit Miss Mary's Boutique
