Before children go out to haunt and gather their sugar-laden, root-canal-promising bounty, many parents feel the urge to capture the moment for posterity and ask their beloved ones to pose for this year's Halloween photo. And this ritual, as sacred to us as Samhain was to the Celts, gets repeated year after year. As all good rituals should.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for Dolldom's editors, these anonymous photos are nothing but magnificent works of art:
Dolldom, always in the romantic pursuit of the idealized days of old, celebrates Halloween once again with an exclusive portfolio of photos inspired by the accidental artists of the past: mothers, fathers, uncles and aunts, older sisters and neighbors who with their trusty cameras froze many a amazing moment in time.
Our models are some of American Character Doll Company's best: Sandy and Betsy McCall and a selection of vintage rubber masks. Dolldom can only hope that these recreations of that moment of joy - "It's Halloween!" transport you to your own memories of Halloweens past.
Happy Halloween 2015!
